Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Financial Access Facilitator to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. As a key member of our patient access team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless patient registration and scheduling processes, while also verifying insurance information and financial clearance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate and complete patient visit information in accordance with department protocol
  • Collect and verify patient demographic and insurance information
  • Promptly and efficiently accommodate walk-in and add-on patients
  • Provide support for patients requiring additional assistance
  • Obtain required signatures and ensure proper authorizations
  • Document account information and systems accurately
  • Schedule patient appointments and ensure timely patient throughput
  • Verify patient eligibility and benefits
  • Collect copays and deductibles
  • Refer patients to financial counseling as needed
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service, preferably in a hospital or physician office setting
  • Basic computer skills and ability to adapt to various programs/systems
  • Spanish speaking required for positions in the PCC
