The Investigative Analyst I will assist INTERPOL Washington, the United States National Central Bureau (USNCB) in facilitating the exchange of criminal justice, humanitarian, and public safety information between domestic law enforcement agencies and their international counterparts. The role may involve supporting the INTERPOL Operations Command Center (IOCC), the Foreign Notices Program within Global Police Services, and other operational divisions of the USNCB as needed.

The USNCB operates continuously, 24/7.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transmit sensitive investigative information through both international and domestic communication systems in response to inquiries related to investigations and humanitarian efforts.
  • Respond to inquiries via phone from both domestic and international law enforcement partners.
  • Conduct database searches in domestic and international law enforcement, compliance, and inspection systems to identify, compile, and organize critical investigative leads.
  • Input alerts on foreign criminals into U.S. databases.
  • Create electronic case files in INTERPOL Washington's internal case management system, including data entry and uploading preliminary investigative findings.
  • Review electronic case files and various documents for accuracy and compliance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • At least 1 year of experience in relevant tasks for this position.
    • Proficiency in various software applications is essential, particularly Microsoft Office Suite, including Access and Excel.
    • Experience in applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques.
  • Secret clearance is required.
