Job Overview

Purvis Industries is seeking a skilled Branch Manager to oversee and coordinate all activities within the branch, ensuring optimal performance across all operational areas. The ideal candidate will lead a team, cultivate a positive workplace culture, and prioritize customer satisfaction while maintaining efficient branch operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate local market dynamics, pinpoint current and future sales opportunities, and formulate forecasts, financial goals, and strategic plans for the branch.
  • Propose necessary adjustments to branch policies and organizational objectives.
  • Support the Regional Manager in establishing branch and corporate goals.
  • Effectively communicate with other branches and senior management by sharing insights on best practices, competitive analysis, and business opportunities.
  • Promptly address customer satisfaction concerns.
  • Collaborate fully with the Credit Department to uphold and implement credit policies.
  • Engage actively in community, business, and industry organizations to enhance the branch's visibility and reputation.
  • Meet profitability targets for the division/branch and the organization.
  • Take overall responsibility for revenue, profit margins, product mix, and market share goals.
  • Manage and expand existing distribution accounts from an operational perspective.
  • Analyze data trends and develop and implement value-added programs.
  • Assist in creating and executing initiatives to boost sales and enhance profit margins.
  • Participate in operational meetings and prepare necessary reports.
  • Work collaboratively with area suppliers' sales directors and manufacturers' representatives.
  • Recruit, train, and oversee sales personnel.
  • Enhance knowledge of industry standards, products, and management practices.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma required (Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • At least 1 year in a similar role (4 years preferred).
  • A minimum of 3 years in a progressive role (4 years preferred).
  • Experience with products/applications is required.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.
