Job Summary

The Capitol District Marriott is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Front Desk Operations Manager to join our team. As an Assistant Front Office Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing all Front Office Operations to ensure profitability, control costs, and maintain quality standards to deliver exceptional guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise front desk staff and assist with greeting guests, checking guests in and out, handling guest requests and complaints, and handling group check-ins.
  • Ensure all daily functions from the checklist are completed.
  • Perform manual and computer posting of transactions.
  • Handle money, credit cards, and checks.
  • Issue mail and messages to guests.
  • Deal with guest dissatisfaction and resolve issues promptly.
  • Take reservations and provide directions and answers to guest questions.
  • Enter wake-up calls and deliver items to rooms.
  • Perform additional duties or projects as assigned by the Front Office Manager.

Requirements

  • Previous front desk management experience is required.
  • Excellent communication and math skills are essential.
  • Accurate typing skills are necessary.
  • Problem-solving abilities and accurate computer aptitude are required.
  • Supervisory and organizational skills are essential.
  • Ability to walk/stand for long periods of time and multi-task is necessary.
  • Meet deadlines for assignments and projects.
