Position Title: Security Solutions Engineer

Location: Washington, DC

Job Overview:
As a Security Solutions Engineer, you will engage with clients to assess their security requirements and formulate detailed specifications and testing protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with clients to comprehend their security objectives and establish precise requirements.
2. Research and evaluate potential technologies to ensure they meet the outlined specifications.
3. Develop expertise in the systems to effectively communicate their capabilities and limitations.
4. Partner with internal teams to address and mitigate privacy, network security, and scalability issues related to the systems.
5. Produce comprehensive documentation outlining system standards and operational procedures.
6. Work closely with installation and administration teams to implement solutions.
7. Regularly assess the effectiveness of systems and adapt to new technological advancements or environmental changes.
8. Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on security engineering requirements for system performance, installations, and ongoing support, while recommending enhancements based on industry best practices.

Work Schedule:
This position will transition to a hybrid work model after an initial training period, requiring candidates to be based in the DC area for on-site responsibilities.

Qualifications:
Applicants must undergo a government security investigation and may need to meet eligibility criteria, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information. The ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance is essential.

- High School Diploma with a minimum of 10 years of experience in an engineering discipline, preferably with a focus on design and implementation.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, vendors, and colleagues.
- Capability to achieve PACS (Physical Access Control Systems) Vendor Certification within 90 days of employment.

Preferred Experience:
- Proficiency in Electronic Security Systems (ESS) is highly desirable, including:
- Access Control Systems (ACS)
- Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)
- Closed Circuit Television (CCTV)
- Relevant certifications in major Electronic Security Systems such as Software House CCURE, Lenel, AMAG, Bosch, etc.
- Familiarity with IT systems.

Ideal Candidates Will Demonstrate:
- Knowledge or certification with electronic security manufacturers including Lenel, AMAG, Software House, Bosch, Pelco, Genetec, HID, Axis, and Geutebruck.
- Understanding of physical security designs, standard operating procedures, and security operations.
- Experience with Physical Security Systems including Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and CCTV.

Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $94,425 - $151,080, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged exposure to computer screens.
