Job Summary
Hire Road is seeking an experienced Director of Operations to oversee the daily operations of our rapidly expanding ferry company. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing docks, vessels, vehicles, properties, managers, and customers.

Key Responsibilities
• Oversee all areas of operations, including docks, boats, and operations on the straits of Mackinac, Mackinac Island, Mackinaw City, and St. Ignace
• Ensure the safety of the vessel and its passengers, crew, and cargo
• Provide leadership and direction to crew members
• Maintain superior judgment and performance under pressure
• Deliver excellent customer service
• Uphold knowledge and adherence to U.S. Coast Guard rules and regulations governing the operation of a passenger vessel
• Track and provide key operations metrics

Requirements
• Proven experience as Director of Operation or equivalent position
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Highly motivated self-starter
• Outstanding communication, both written and verbal
• Proficient in Microsoft and business software
• A valid Driver's License
• Ability to obtain Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
• Willingness to participate and pass alcohol and drug tests as mandated by the USCG
