Job Summary

As a key member of the Human Resources team at Marriott, the Human Resources Manager will play a critical role in supporting the daily activities of the HR Office. This includes oversight of recruitment, total compensation, and training and development. The successful candidate will focus on delivering HR services that meet or exceed the needs of employees and enable business success, while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the interviewing and hiring of Human Resource employee team members with the appropriate skills, as needed.
  • Establish and maintain contact with external recruitment sources.
  • Attend job fairs and ensure documentation of outreach efforts in accordance with Human Resource Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Network with local organizations to source candidates for current or future openings.
  • Oversee/monitor candidate identification and selection process.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to property managers regarding selection procedures.
  • Partner with vendor partners to ensure effective advertisement efforts are being utilized for open positions in appropriate venues to attract a diverse candidate pool.
  • Perform quality control on candidate identification/selection.
  • Administer and educate employees on benefits, including unemployment services.
  • Manage employee development, including training and cross-training initiatives.
  • Maintain effective employee communication channels and resolve employee issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and operating procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED; 3 years experience in the human resources, management operations, or related professional area.
  • OR
  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related major; 1 year experience in the human resources, management operations, or related professional area.
Benefits

Marriott offers a competitive salary range of $64,000 to $83,000 annually, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase plan, paid time off, and more. Benefits and incentive compensation may be subject to eligibility, waiting period, contribution, and other requirements and conditions.
