Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and shipment of merchandise to our customers and branch locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect incoming merchandise to ensure accurate delivery and documentation.
  • Examine incoming stock items for damage or defects and report any issues to the supervisor or vendor.
  • Sort, organize, and label merchandise with accurate stock and inventory codes.
  • Perform scheduled cycle counts of products to maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Load trucks with packed orders in a safe and organized manner.
  • Read pick tickets, prioritize orders, and verify items picked against pick tickets.
  • Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves according to established procedures.
  • Pull, package, and stage outbound orders for timely shipment.
  • Prepare outbound UPS deliveries to ensure reliable shipping.
  • Move completed orders to designated shipment locations.
  • Operate a forklift to load and unload trucks and lift/place merchandise in designated locations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment during production and at the end of the shift.
  • Communicate any issues or concerns to the supervisor for resolution.

Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with ability to interpret customer needs and provide solutions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Lifting up to 50 pounds while demonstrating safe techniques.
  • Moving about the warehouse and loading dock area for extended periods.
  • Exiting and entering vehicles several times per day.
  • Ability to climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, kneel, and work in small spaces and various climates.

Equipment Used

  • Desktop computer and mouse/tablet.
  • Telephone, cellphone, fax machine, GPS.
  • Forklift and motorized pallet jack.
  • Scanning equipment, such as RF scanners.
  • Motor vehicles, such as vans and trucks.
