About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Colony Hardware. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of our distribution center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Provide leadership and guidance to the operations team, ensuring that all tasks and responsibilities are completed to the highest standard.
  • Warehouse Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the distribution center, including receiving, storing, and shipping of goods.
  • Logistics and Supply Chain: Work closely with the logistics and supply chain teams to ensure that orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all safety protocols and regulations are followed, and that the distribution center is maintained in a clean and safe environment.
  • Truck Safety and Maintenance: Coordinate with the fleet manager to ensure that all trucks are properly maintained and that safety protocols are followed.
  • Decision Making: Make informed decisions regarding delivery times, route schedules, and other logistics to ensure that customer needs are met.
  • Inventory Management: Work with the inventory control team to ensure that stock levels are accurate and that inventory is properly managed.
  • Special Orders: Assist in fulfilling special orders that require additional attention and perform stock counts to ensure accuracy.
Requirements
  • Education: High school degree or equivalent required; college degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years' management/supervisory/lead experience in a distribution environment responsible for warehouse/driver management.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Certifications: Valid driver's license required.
