We are on the lookout for a dedicated professional to take on the role of Facilities Maintenance Lead. This is a full-time position designed for an individual eager to expand the division and eventually oversee a team of skilled handymen.

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

Property Inspections:

  1. Conducting thorough property inspections and reporting necessary repairs.
  2. Documenting findings with photographs and detailed notes for assessments.

Maintenance Tasks:

  1. Performing hands-on repairs for properties as required.
  2. Engaging subcontractors for handyman services when repairs exceed available time.
  3. Participating in weekly meetings with Property Management to discuss the scope of upcoming repairs.
  4. Being available for on-call duties one weekend each month.

Project Coordination:

  1. Assisting with handyman tasks on larger projects as needed.
  2. Coordinating subcontractors for extensive project requirements.
  3. Managing vendor relationships for significant repair tasks.
  4. Overseeing quality checks during property turnovers.
  5. Coordinating painting projects.

Financial Oversight:

  1. Ensuring accuracy in invoicing.
  2. Creating invoices for handyman services.

Networking:

  1. Participating in networking meetings and fulfilling related responsibilities.

Work Schedule:

This position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, with potential for overtime as necessary.

Compensation:

The starting pay range is $30-$40 per hour, negotiable based on experience. Opportunities for raises will be available after the initial probationary period and at the one-year mark.

Qualifications:

  • At least five years of experience in construction or handyman services.
  • Proficiency in learning new software applications.
  • Strong knowledge of common maintenance issues and the ability to address them.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to manage tasks from inception to completion.
  • Reliable transportation is essential.
  • Capability to maintain quality control over operations.
  • Willingness to learn property management software.
