Job Overview

A Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the operational efficiency and aesthetic appeal of hotel facilities. This role encompasses a range of tasks aimed at maintaining both the interior and exterior environments of the hotel.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic setting, showcasing a positive and proactive demeanor to enhance the guest experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the routine maintenance of guest rooms and public areas, ensuring that all furnishings, appliances, and electrical systems, including televisions, refrigerators, and lighting, are fully operational.
  • Verify that all painting and flooring adhere to company standards.
  • Conduct repairs or replacements of HVAC systems, including individual air conditioning units, as necessary.
  • Maintain the hotel's outdoor areas, including parking lots, swimming pools, and landscaping.
  • Ensure that both the interior and exterior of the hotel are consistently well-kept.
  • Perform minor adjustments on HVAC systems, room furnishings, fixtures, and other hotel amenities.
  • Supervise the preventative maintenance program to ensure all systems are functioning optimally.
  • Report significant repair needs to the General Manager.
  • Assist with the setup and cleanup of meeting spaces.
  • Support other departments within the hotel as required.
  • Address guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly and courteously.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols to prevent accidents.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in maintenance or groundskeeping roles.
  • Background Checks: Employment offers may be contingent upon successful completion of background checks and/or drug screening.
  • Soft Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, effective time management, organizational abilities, a proactive attitude, urgency in task completion, and a solid work ethic.
