Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of Maintenance Mechanics and Electricians in executing predictive and preventative maintenance as well as machinery repairs.
  • Accountable for the creation, execution, and daily oversight of maintenance systems, processes, and documentation that align with efficient and high-performing manufacturing standards (including Prevention and Predictive Maintenance, Total Productive Maintenance, Standard Operating Procedures, Safety protocols, etc.).
  • Ensure maintenance tasks are scheduled promptly and collaborate closely with production teams to plan and complete equipment and facility repairs.
  • Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators to monitor and report on the maintenance department's performance (including supplier performance, third-party contractor effectiveness, equipment reliability, overall equipment efficiency, etc.).
  • Provide both long-term solutions and daily support to operational teams facing troubleshooting, problem analysis, and equipment failure challenges.
  • Educate team members on appropriate work methods and safety regulations.
  • Ensure all tasks comply with relevant regulatory standards.
  • Maintain precise records of maintenance activities and inventory levels.
  • Deliver regular updates to the maintenance management team regarding ongoing projects and issues.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s or Bachelor of Arts degree is required; an Associate's degree or relevant maintenance certifications are preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in maintenance supervision is required; experience in food, consumer products, beverage, or similar manufacturing sectors is preferred, though candidates from any manufacturing background are encouraged to apply.
  • Technical expertise in mechanical and electrical repairs is essential; familiarity with PLCs, instrumentation, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, motors, and related equipment (such as ammonia refrigeration, high-pressure boilers, and compressed air systems) is advantageous.
  • Comprehensive understanding of maintenance systems, work order processes, preventive and predictive maintenance, Total Productive Maintenance, inventory management, and scheduling software is preferred.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, including conflict resolution, facilitation, change management, decision-making, empowerment, and delegation skills, are preferred.
  • Able to lead problem-solving and troubleshooting initiatives related to complex process issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is necessary.
  • Strong planning and prioritization skills are essential.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
