Responsibilities
Program Overview
Youth Villages' Residential Treatment programs cater to children facing emotional and behavioral challenges.

Our residential facilities create an environment for an intensive treatment program that strikes a unique balance between structure and freedom.

This approach enables children and their families to identify, understand, and address their individual needs while developing essential skills for success in less restrictive settings.

We operate three distinct types of facilities:

  • Intensive Residential Centers
  • Open Campuses
  • Group Homes

Position Overview
As a Night Monitor, you will be responsible for checking on residents at set intervals to ensure their safety and adherence to guidelines.

Many of our residents experience difficulties during the night, and your role will be crucial in providing support and conversation during these times.

Shifts typically run from either 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM or 11 PM to 7 AM, requiring a minimum of 16 hours per month, with the potential for up to 20 hours per week.

Additional Information
The supervision and treatment of youth necessitate prolonged periods of walking and standing, as well as physical agility. You may be required to run and navigate stairs. Participation in physical interventions with youth may be necessary.

Physical requirements include frequently lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lifting and/or moving more than 100 pounds. Completion of Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) and CPR training is mandatory.

Applicants must pass an agility and strength evaluation and possess a valid driver's license.

Salary
$17 - $19 per hour, based on educational background.

Qualifications
A High School Diploma or GED is required. Experience working with at-risk youth is preferred.
