As a Mobile Crisis Response Counselor, you will provide critical support to children and families in crisis, utilizing your expertise in crisis intervention and counseling to make a meaningful difference in their lives.
Key Responsibilities- Provide mobile crisis response and thorough, strength-based assessments of children and families in crises in their natural environments.
- Utilize crisis respite homes when appropriate, providing a safe and supportive space for individuals in crisis.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, working collaboratively with families and community stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcomes.
- Work non-traditional hours, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in your schedule to meet the needs of our clients.
- Collaborate with adult crisis teams and community consumers, fostering strong relationships and ensuring seamless communication.
- Travel to various locations, including crisis respite homes and community settings, to provide services and support.
- A Master's degree in a clinical or mental health discipline is required, with a strong emphasis on crisis intervention and counseling.
- Candidates with a Master's degree in a related field and relevant experience may be considered.
- One year of clinical experience working with youth is preferred, with a focus on crisis intervention and counseling.
- Applicants who are provisionally licensed or working towards licensure are strongly preferred, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Excellent written, verbal, and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and deadlines to ensure timely completion.
- Basic computer knowledge, with proficiency in software applications and technology.
- Ability to maintain a flexible schedule, with a willingness to work non-traditional hours and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Counselors must have their own vehicle, with liability insurance, to use for work purposes.
- Acceptable driving record, with three or fewer moving violations within the past 36 months.
