Job Summary
The Center for Nonprofit Management is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Counselor to join our team. As an MST Family Counselor, you will play a critical role in providing community-based treatment for families of juveniles involved in the juvenile justice system.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry a caseload of 4-5 families, providing intensive treatment that requires meeting with each family at least three times per week.
- Develop individualized treatment plans for each case, conducting ongoing assessments and reviews of treatment progress on a regular basis.
- Document all sessions within a pre-established cycle time, utilizing web-based documentation and voice-recognition technology.
- Provide after-hours support to youth and families through a rotating on-call schedule.
- Travel up to 60-80 miles to meet with families in their homes, providing treatment in individual families' homes in a wide array of settings and communities.
- Collaborate closely with multiple types of clinical supervision, including individual and group settings led by trained and licensed MST professionals.
- Develop strong community relationships and resources to provide families as part of treatment.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of multisystemic therapy and its application in community-based settings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality services.
- Strong documentation and record-keeping skills, with the ability to utilize web-based documentation and voice-recognition technology.
