About the Role

John Galt Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team. As an Information System Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our organization's information systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular security risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential threats and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the secure operation and maintenance of information systems.
  • Develop and maintain System Security Plans (SSPs) and associated artifacts, including the Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M) and Risk Assessment Report.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to stakeholders on security-related matters.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and technologies, and recommend improvements to our security posture.
Requirements
  • BS degree in a related field (e.g., computer science, cybersecurity, information assurance)
  • Minimum 8570 certification (e.g., Security+, CISSP)
  • Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Ability to pass a CI polygraph
Work Environment

This is a full-time position that requires 100% on-site work in Lexington, MA.
