Role Summary:
The Professional Housing and Leasing Consultant serves as the primary sales representative for the property, responsible for engaging with potential residents, showcasing the unique features and advantages of the community, and effectively securing lease agreements from qualified individuals.

This role emphasizes exceptional customer service, ensuring that current residents feel valued and comfortable within their community. Additionally, various administrative tasks related to business operations must be performed in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome prospective residents, assess their needs and preferences, and professionally present the community and available homes, highlighting the benefits of mobile home living.
  • Ensure timely submission of application information, maintaining accuracy and completeness; track application progress with third-party lenders and communicate results to applicants.
  • Complete guest card information for all prospects, send thank-you notes, and conduct follow-ups.
  • Verify that all homes available for sale or rent are properly identified and maintained in excellent condition prior to showings.
  • Accurately complete and submit all lease documentation by required deadlines, coordinating with the corporate Lease Coordinator for approvals and follow-ups.
  • Communicate with residents through letters, emails, and software-generated notifications.
  • Issue violation notices and follow up on compliance with residents.
  • Assist management with eviction processes as necessary.
  • Document all communications with residents in the property management software.
  • Foster friendly and professional relationships with residents, ensuring timely responses to calls and inquiries.
  • Stay informed about customer needs, industry trends, market activities, and competitor actions.

Contribute ideas to enhance property marketing and improve resident satisfaction.

  • Conduct routine property inspections, ensuring cleanliness and reporting maintenance needs.
  • Inspect move-outs and vacancies, as well as perform regular checks of occupied rental homes.

Community Engagement:

  • Participate in community events to promote home ownership, attract new prospects, and maintain positive resident relations.
  • Organize and file reports, leases, and related paperwork appropriately.
  • Attend company meetings as required and complete all necessary training.
  • Maintain professional relationships with third-party contractors and vendors, monitoring activities and reporting service issues to management.
  • Accurately code invoices and submit them to the payables department promptly.
  • Create work orders and follow up with maintenance to ensure timely resolution.

Update notes as necessary and close completed work orders in the property management software.

  • Process money orders and checks, deposit funds, and generate batch reports.
  • Run delinquency reports, contact delinquent residents, and document interactions in the property management software.
  • Conduct all business in compliance with company policies, Fair Housing regulations, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all applicable state and federal laws.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in sales and customer service is essential.
  • Property management experience is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with manufactured housing is preferred.
  • Bi-lingual candidates, particularly in Spanish, are encouraged to apply.
