Position Overview
This position is for a Trade and Industry Analyst within the Bureau of Industry and Security, focusing on the intersection of trade practices and industrial policies.

Eligibility
This role is available to federal employees who qualify as 'surplus' or 'displaced' and to U.S. citizens and nationals.

Role Responsibilities
As a Trade and Industry Analyst, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough research and analysis of trade and industry data pertinent to the office's involvement with the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS).
  • Summarizing findings and effectively communicating trade and industry insights through interpretive reports.
  • Preparing and delivering impactful presentations to management and stakeholders.
  • Identifying procedural challenges within program operations and recommending solutions to complex issues related to regulatory compliance and service delivery.

Additional Information
This job opportunity may also be utilized to fill other Trade and Industry Analyst positions within the Bureau of Industry and Security, provided candidates meet the necessary qualifications and experience.

Requirements
Applicants must be U.S. citizens and are subject to a background investigation, which may include a credit check and review of any criminal offenses. A probationary period may be necessary.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the federal service, or a combination of education and experience that meets the requirements.
