Manufacturing Operations Manager

Crown Holdings is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Supervisor II to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our manufacturing facility, ensuring the production of high-quality products that meet or exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Production Oversight: Coordinate and supervise activities of equipment and personnel throughout the facility, with a focus on optimizing Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Spoilage.
- Communication: Communicate all pertinent information between departments and between shifts on changes to equipment, production schedules, production problems, or any other related information.
- Employee Development: Work with employees on identifying, discussing solutions, and implementing fixes on machinery and equipment problems, as well as performing and facilitating on-the-job training and coaching as needed.
- Process Improvement: Apply knowledge of various processes, production methods, and processes to improve plant production, manage machinery set-up and adjustment, and inspect products to ensure compliance to standards.
- Quality Management: Oversee quality and recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimal performance within the equipment limits.
- Documentation: Complete and/or administer necessary documentation, such as production sheets, pallet ticketing, job progressions, disciplinary actions, monthly SAFE cards, time and attendance, accident reports, and process control sheets.
- Education: High School Education/GED
- Experience: Five to seven years of experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment, with at least three years of proven supervisory experience.
- Availability: Must be available to work various shifts if needed and be able to work nights, weekends, and overtime to cover absences or provide additional support.
- Education: Bachelor's degree
- Industry Experience: Packaging industry experience
- Knowledge: Knowledge of Six Sigma, SPC, and Lean Manufacturing
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills through an individual and/or collaborative approach
- Leadership: Effective leadership skills, such as conflict resolution, communication, decision making, etc.
- Employee Relations: Demonstrated employee relations skills and the ability to motivate people
- Time Management: Excellent time management and project management skills, as well as the ability to multi-task
- Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Computer Skills: Strong computer skills and working knowledge of various Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Access, etc.)
