We have an exciting opportunity for a Thermal Protection Systems Project Manager to become part of our Operations & Test Division.

  • This role involves managing multiple Thermal Protection System (TPS) clients and products produced at the Thermal Protection Systems Facility (TPSF). Responsibilities include daily interactions with TPSF managers, engineers, technicians, and support personnel to prioritize tasks and ensure adherence to budget and schedule.
  • The TPSF project manager will serve as the primary liaison with clients, providing daily, weekly, and monthly status updates as required by the contract(s).
  • Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Qualifications:

Essential Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree is required, along with typically 15 years of experience in the field or a related area.
  • A minimum of 3 years of project management experience within the aerospace sector.
  • A positive demeanor.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the TPSF and experience with Solumina. Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. A demonstrated team player.

Work Environment:

Primarily an office setting, but may involve both indoor and outdoor tasks depending on the assignment.

Physical Requirements:

Work may involve prolonged periods of sitting or standing (90% of the time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).

Equipment Utilized:

Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).

Attendance:

Regular attendance in accordance with the established work schedule is essential. Flexibility to work outside normal hours and adjust schedules to meet peak demands is required.

Exhibit professional behavior that enhances productivity and fosters teamwork and collaboration. Grooming and attire must be suitable for the role and must not pose a safety risk to oneself or others.
