ASRC Federal is seeking a Thermal Protection System (TPS) Technician Senior at Kennedy Space Center, FL.

ASRC Federal System Solutions brings a 14-year history of delivering high-performance space systems engineering, integration and satellite operations services to civil and defense agencies. ASFF provides these services throughout all phases of the program life cycle and across the entire space systems architecture, including space and ground assets.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Works from schematics, blueprints and oral instructions to construct developmental assemblies, sub-assemblies and components.

  • Provide TPS process validations, TPS bonding operations and production operations set up, on and off vehicle.

  • On/Off-Vehicle includes: Aeroshells, Hatches, and Heatshield.

  • On/Off -- vehicle, Filler Bar layout and installation, Gap Filler bonding, Thermal Barrier bonding, Closeout Tile bonding, repair, vehicle tile removal.

  • Duties will also include Instrumentation, surface preparation for bonding operations, tile setter manufacturing, validation of GSE to be used in the tile processing.

  • Review and validate tile bonding processes.

  • Review tile bond plan for accuracy.

  • Aid in establishing on floor tile flow plan.

  • Uses standard electronic assembly tools and materials.

  • May perform modifications, rework, and quality testing.

  • Aerospace TPS (Thermal Protection System) experience, pastpresent with thermal tiles or equivalent.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma, or equivalent experience/combined education, with additional specialized technical training equivalent to a technical Associate degree and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned technical/para-engineering tasks and 10-15 years of experience.

  • Must be a US Citizen
