Position Overview:
Seneca Global Services, LLC is currently seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to become an integral part of our technical team, dedicated to supporting our Department of Defense (DOD) clientele and their objectives. The ISSO will collaborate with a team focused on identifying and refining security and privacy requirements for systems, ensuring their effective integration through security architecture, design, development, and configuration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct support and input to the Information System Security Manager (ISSM), including contributions to the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process, Continuous Monitoring Plans, and facilitating Security Controls Assessments for all assigned information systems.
  • Assist in the administration and oversight of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes throughout the system lifecycle to maintain an appropriate security posture.
  • Develop and implement cybersecurity programs, policies, and procedures for the designated information systems.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of current and upcoming events, assigned system functions, security policies, technical safeguards, and operational security measures.
  • Exhibit subject matter expertise in DoD, Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), and Risk Management Framework (RMF) core concepts and processes.
  • Coordinate effectively with relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage the Authorization to Operate (ATO) documentation for assigned information systems in the appropriate A&A System of Record.
  • Analyze Audit Logs (e.g., Splunk logs, Windows Event logs, Linux syslogs) for assigned information systems.
  • Conduct validation checks to ensure compliance with Configuration Management-approved software installations, including Antivirus definitions.
  • Perform cybersecurity compliance assessments, vulnerability scans, and manual checks.
  • Execute ISSO-specific duties as outlined in the program plans for the assigned information systems.
  • Implement account management processes for the assigned information systems and issue necessary credentials to users.
  • Develop and execute user-focused cybersecurity education, training, and awareness programs as mandated by the ISSM.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned in support of the NCRC mission.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance is required.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • At least 5 years of extensive experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, and risk management framework processes.
  • DoD and DoDD Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification or higher.
  • A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in conducting IT application, system, and network project reviews, providing technical and policy guidance in DoD cybersecurity.
Desired Skills:
  • Possession of at least one certification as outlined in DoDM, DoD Cyberspace Workforce Framework.
  • Familiarity with:
    • VMWare - Virtualization and security (vSphere, vCenter, NSX, ESXi)
    • RHEL - Ansible, Kubernetes, StackRox, OpenShift
    • AWS/Azure - Cloud technologies/Containerization
    • F5 BIG IP and Cisco - Networking devices/distributed technologies
    • STIG and IAVA implementation
    • NetApp - Storage technologies
    • Dell Blade Servers
