Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Immigration Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in immigration law, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage an array of tasks, including meeting with department managers and team members to ensure deadlines are met and tasks are completed.
  • Review and prepare EOIR and USCIS filings as needed.
  • Develop, implement, and assist in following procedures to ensure compliance with EOIR immigration requirements.
  • Help create, implement, and update training materials and checklists to ensure the team is up-to-date on law and procedures.
  • Facilitate daily or weekly meetings to foster an environment of open communication and collaboration with the team and management.
  • Calendar management to avoid conflicts and prioritize workload equitably.
  • Contribute ideas to further the company mission.
  • Analyze cases to identify issues and potential conflicts and communicate with clients about issues and set expectations.
  • Research relevant statutes, case law, new legal developments, and potential arguments.
  • Meet and discuss overall case game plans and theory with supervising attorneys.
  • Prepare clients for interviews and set up expectations.
  • Draft motions, waivers, declarations, litigation briefs as needed.
  • Document client communications and case notes.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Work one Saturday per month, as needed.
  • Perform other case management-related tasks to assist the office as a team player.
  • Register, organize, and file case correspondence from the government and clients.
  • Notes and data entry and upkeep of our company software.
  • Ability and hand dexterity to type at least 45 wpm.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, MS Word, Excel, MS Outlook, and internet proficiency.
  • Ability to occasionally lift large case files of excess weight of 25 lbs.
  • Ability to arrive punctually from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
Requirements
  • License to practice law in the State of California.
  • Must have 1-3 years of experience practicing immigration.
  • Knowledge of USCIS and EOIR procedures and case management.
  • Ability to work and maintain a caseload of 150+ cases.
  • Must be fluent in speaking and writing in both English and Spanish.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible team player.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Be flexible to work from two office locations, Los Angeles, and Van Nuys, would be helpful but not required.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year.
