Nexus Talent Connect is seeking a dedicated Immigration Attorney to join our team.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced attorney who shares our commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of immigrants and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with department managers and team members to meet deadlines and achieve goals.
  • Prepare and review EOIR and USCIS filings to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Represent clients in court, providing expert representation and advocacy.
  • Manage calendars to avoid conflicts and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Conduct case and calendar reviews to ensure timeliness and accountability.
  • Analyze cases to identify issues and set client expectations.
  • Research statutes, case law, and legal developments to stay up-to-date on the latest immigration laws and regulations.
  • Develop case strategies with supervising attorneys to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients.
  • Prepare clients for interviews and manage expectations to ensure a smooth and successful process.
  • Draft motions, waivers, declarations, and litigation briefs to support clients' cases.
  • Document client communications and case notes to maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure client satisfaction through effective communication and exceptional customer service.
  • Work one Saturday per month as needed to support the team and meet deadlines.
  • Assist with other case management tasks and office support to ensure the smooth operation of the team.
  • Organize and file correspondence to maintain a well-organized and efficient workspace.
  • Maintain notes and data in company software to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Typing speed of at least 45 wpm and proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, MS Word, Excel, MS Outlook, and internet usage are required.
  • Occasional lifting of case files weighing over 25 lbs may be required.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in California.
  • 1-3 years of experience in immigration law.
  • Proficient in USCIS and EOIR procedures and case management.
  • Capable of handling a caseload of 150+ cases.
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish (required).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with flexibility.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to work from Los Angeles and Van Nuys offices (helpful but not required).

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary: $85,000 - $115,000 per year.
  • Performance Bonus offered.
  • 401(k) with matching, Dental insurance, Health insurance, Vision insurance, Paid time off.
  • Ongoing training and development.

  • Full-time position based in Los Angeles, CA.
