Mainspring Energy is a pioneering company that is revolutionizing the power generation industry with its innovative linear generator technology. Our mission is to accelerate the transition to a net-zero carbon grid, and we're seeking a highly skilled Account Executive to join our team.

Job Summary

We're looking for a dynamic sales professional who can help us drive commercial and industrial customer growth, while ensuring an exceptional customer experience. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for representing Mainspring Energy through all stages of the sales cycle, from prospecting to closing agreements. You will also be responsible for developing your pipeline through outreach, working with Teaming/Channel Partners, and presenting the business case to customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the majority of internal deliverables, from prospecting through booking and hand-off to project construction.
  • Drive pipeline development by engaging in customer outreach and working closely with regional Teaming and Channel Partners.
  • Support trade show events by engaging with prospects before, during, and after the event to advance the sales cycle.
  • Provide customer-tailored data, projections, and slides to concisely demonstrate the Mainspring value proposition.
  • Manage all aspects of preliminary and final proposal development.
  • Build long-term relationships with Teaming/Channel Partners and customers by earning their trust and proactively identifying their needs throughout the deal.
Requirements
  • Positive attitude, willingness to take initiative, accountable, and able to communicate across departments with the drive to get the deal done and put the customer first.
  • At least 5 years of experience selling to corporate customers for financed distributed generation equipment in the commercial/industrial space.
  • Bachelor's degree required; engineering background preferred; MBA preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving a sales quota.
  • Experience discussing project finance concepts (IRR, NPV, pre-tax vs. after-tax, etc.).
  • Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines with strong project management, organizational, analytical, and coordination skills.
What We Offer

Mainspring Energy offers a competitive salary range of $90k-$140k base, plus significant variable compensation, pre-IPO stock options, and benefits. This position is remote, and the salary will be adjusted to reflect local market conditions based on employee location and experience.
