Part-Time Faculty Opportunities

DePaul University welcomes expressions of interest for a pool of qualified Adjunct Instructors to teach courses across various disciplines in all 10 colleges and schools. Interested individuals may submit their credentials for any relevant postings. Listings are organized by college/school and department. Screening of candidates in the pool is ongoing, based on curricular needs and funding availability. Departments will reach out to candidates if they advance to the finalist stage for specific courses. The pool will remain active until the specified closing date; those wishing to stay in the pool beyond that must reapply. All candidates in the pool will receive email notifications when the posting is closed.

Responsibilities:

The School of Public Service within the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at DePaul University invites expressions of interest in part-time faculty teaching opportunities at both graduate and undergraduate levels. Part-time teaching opportunities are available throughout the academic year in areas such as public policy, international development, public administration, nonprofit management, and government finance.

Course schedules may vary each quarter, and the School will collaborate with selected individuals to establish a quarterly timetable. While courses are not guaranteed, the Department strives to provide timely notifications regarding available courses and potential cancellations. Applicants whose expertise aligns with course scheduling needs will be contacted for interviews. For more information about the School of Public Service's BA in Public Policy and Master's programs, please refer to the relevant resources.

Required Qualifications:
For teaching at the graduate level: Ph.D./J.D./D.P.A. degree, or a Master's degree with significant professional experience in fields pertinent to the School of Public Service academic programs.

For teaching at the undergraduate level: MA in Public Policy or a related field. If the candidate does not possess an MA in a related field, then an MA and relevant work experience exceeding two years is required.

Candidates must demonstrate experience in working and teaching within a diverse learning environment.
