Part-time Faculty Opportunities

DePaul University is seeking expressions of interest for a pool of qualified Part-time Faculty to instruct courses across various disciplines in all 10 colleges and schools. Responsibilities:

The School of Public Service within the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at DePaul University invites expressions of interest for part-time faculty teaching roles at both graduate and undergraduate levels. Opportunities for part-time teaching are available throughout the academic year in areas such as public policy, international development, public administration, nonprofit management, and government finance.

Course schedules may vary each quarter, and the School will collaborate with selected candidates to establish a quarterly timetable. While courses are not guaranteed, the Department strives to provide timely notifications regarding available courses and potential cancellations. Applicants whose expertise aligns with course scheduling needs will be contacted for interviews. For further information about the School of Public Service's BA in Public Policy and Masters programs, please refer to the relevant resources.

Required Qualifications:

For graduate-level teaching: Ph.D./J.D./D.P.A. degree, or a Master's degree with significant professional experience in fields pertinent to the School of Public Service academic programs.

For undergraduate-level teaching: MA in Public Policy or a related field. If the candidate does not hold an MA in a related field, then an MA along with relevant work experience exceeding two years is required.

Candidates must demonstrate experience in working and teaching within a diverse educational environment.
