About the Role

Hendall Inc. is a leading professional services contracting company, providing critical support to various Federal Government agencies. We are seeking a Director of Business Development to drive the activities of our business development team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct business development activities from deal identification, qualification, and capture to proposal development and submission.
  • Build relationships with customers and industry partners to identify potential business opportunities.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of company offerings to identify potential customers and service areas.
  • Prepare documentation required to respond to requests for proposals.
  • Research emerging trends and recommend new company offerings to satisfy customers' needs.
  • Present executive-level reports on qualifying statuses of bids and pipeline opportunities.
  • Identify leads for new business opportunities and develop capture strategies to secure identified work.
  • Monitor Government acquisition notices to identify opportunities that align with Hendall's capabilities and goals.
  • Maintain relationships with Government leaders and program staff to identify, pursue, and secure new client opportunities.
  • Research and analyze opportunities based on resource capabilities, teaming options, incumbent strengths and weaknesses, competing providers, and budget and schedule requirements.
  • Author proposals, white papers, standard operating procedures, and other content.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of proven business development, sales, or marketing experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the FAR and the Government contract life cycle.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Detail-oriented and persuasive.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
