Job Overview

The Warranty Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing customer warranty requests for all Divisions of Construction Innovations. The primary focus of this role is to ensure that customers receive timely and satisfactory warranty services while maintaining company interests. The successful candidate will excel in demonstrating excellent communication skills while managing the interests of multiple stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, owners, and internal departments. Occasional travel to project sites, customer locations, or vendor locations may be required.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Warranty team, including training and developing team members.
  • Manage customer warranty requests/claims and validate claims against company contracts.
  • Ensure resolution of warranty claims to customer satisfaction while minimizing costs to the company.
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to enhance continuous improvement of warranty management.
  • Assess future financial risk by forecasting warranty costs and liabilities.
  • Provide credible financial analysis of potential warranty risks and reports based on internal and external cost indicators.
  • Manage warranty documents and costs within the ERP system.
  • Research, collate, analyze, and provide executive summaries of data from internal and external sources to support claim validation.
  • Work closely with Quality and other team members to support root cause investigations.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, legal counsel, suppliers, vendors, and contractors as necessary.
  • Recommend enhancements or changes to the Quality Management System (QMS) to reduce warranty claims and/or costs.
  • Ensure strict adherence to ethics and compliance requirements throughout the company.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
Work Environment

The Warranty Manager spends most of their time in an office environment. The office is an open and collaborative space where work is performed both independently and with the team to ensure that customer requests are met.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to convey detailed and accurate instructions and information verbally.
  • Ability to hear with or without correction for receiving and interpreting detailed information.
  • Ability to sit at a desk workstation for varying periods.
  • Capability to push, pull, lift, reach, and carry at least 10 pounds, occasionally lifting/moving up to 35 lbs. with or without assistance.
  • Occasional walking and standing are required.
  • Visual acuity with or without correction for reading documentation, analyzing data, and using electronic devices.
  • Use of fingers and hands for operating a computer or other electronic devices.
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, and crouching may be required.
Reporting Structure

This position reports directly to the Service and Warranty Manager.

Location

Construction Innovations facilities and offices are situated in Sacramento, CA, and Mather, CA.

Compensation

A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $78,000 to $122,250. The actual amount offered within this range will depend on a variety of factors, including geography, skills and abilities, education, experience, and other relevant job-related factors.

Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degrees in Construction Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related fields are preferred.
  • 5 years of Project Management Experience with 7 years in the renewable construction and/or energy industry.
  • 3 years of management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and their components.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Email, Technical Writing, and project management software.
