Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Officer to join our team in the SoCal market. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new deposit, loan, and merchant business opportunities, working closely with the Manager of Business Development and Marketing to prospect and close/referring leads.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze market research data to guide sales efforts and develop a network of reliable business development advocates.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of prequalification, pricing, and proposal models.
  • Maximize opportunities in the process of closing sales, resulting in increased market share.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales and prospecting activities, including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within the assigned territory.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes, ensuring they are communicated and implemented within the team.
Requirements
  • Must reside in Southern California.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 5 years of proven Business Development experience and/or training strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial statements, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
  • Proven skills to develop marketing and business development skills with customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to cross-sell and explain all products and services with confidence and authority.
  • Ability to deal with complex problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.
  • Current California driver's license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
