Job Description:

BOSUN USA is seeking a highly skilled Development Director to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies to drive growth and sustainability. This includes donor cultivation, grant acquisition, fundraising events, and annual giving campaigns.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to meet organizational goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with individual donors, sponsors, and foundations.
  • Research and prepare grant proposals, manage applications and reporting.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communication and marketing strategy.
  • Oversee volunteer recruitment, training, and retention.
  • Coordinate fundraising events and donor activities.
  • Develop and monitor fundraising budgets, analyze data, and provide regular reports.
  • Provide guidance to the development team, set performance expectations, and offer professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (master's degree preferred).
  • Director experience is a must.
  • Raiser's Edge and Salesforce experience.
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Ability and passion for building relationships.
  • Ability and comfort level in soliciting and closing gifts.
  • Strong communication skills, including public speaking and writing.
  • Skill in exercising discretion and independent judgment with regard to management tasks.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple demands.
  • Experience working with people of diverse backgrounds, including children, and people of diverse cultures.
  • Familiarity with the metro Atlanta philanthropic community and local funding sources desired.
