Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team at Carle Foundation Hospital. As a key member of our Patient Financial Services department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, insurance companies, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and resolve patient account inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Review and calculate pre-determinations and charge estimates
  • Assist patients with setting up payment arrangements and process payments
  • Collect outstanding accounts receivables and provide financial counseling
  • Prepare and provide estimates for services to patients
  • Responsible for cash bag balancing and completion of commercial disability and FMLA forms
Requirements
  • One year customer service experience required, with a preference for experience in healthcare
  • General computer knowledge related to Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of office-based technology, including computers, copiers, fax machines, and scanners
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
