Customer Service Representative

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Customer Service Representative to join our team at Carle Health. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to patients, insurance companies, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to patient inquiries and resolve billing errors and insurance discrepancies.
- Perform financial counseling and assist patients with setting up payment arrangements.
- Process and post payments, as well as collect payments for time of service patients.
- Prepare and provide estimates for services to patients.
- Responsible for cash bag balancing and completion of commercial disability and FMLA forms.
- Monitor and file claims to drug assistance companies.
Requirements:
- One year customer service experience required and/or one year customer service experience in healthcare preferred.
- General computer knowledge related to Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Knowledge in office-based technology, including computer, copier, fax, and scanner.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Must demonstrate tact and diplomacy in interpersonal interactions.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work proficiently within multiple systems.
- Handle high volume of work and have the ability to multitask under demanding conditions.
