Patient Service Representative Lead

The Patient Service Representative Lead plays a crucial role in coordinating staffing and activities for the Plastic Surgery, General Surgery, and Oral Surgery departments. This leadership position requires a strong understanding of healthcare access and patient service operations.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in coordinating staffing and activities for the Plastic Surgery, General Surgery, and Oral Surgery departments
- Provide leadership and expertise in all aspects of service and perform as a Patient Service Representative in all areas
- Assist in resolving work-related issues or assist employees in solving work-related issues
- Establish standards for reducing registration errors and review with staff on a regular basis
- Work daily as a Patient Service Representative in Plastic Surgery, General Surgery, Oral Surgery, or SMOB Central Check-In in the areas where needed
- Assist in training new staff in departments and Central Check-In
- Attend SME Meetings and communicate with staff
- Assist SMOB PSR supervisors in staff assignments and rotation to adequately cover all departments and Central Check-In
- Associate's Degree in a related field or Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) certification through NAHAM
- Successful completion of medical terminology and Foundations of Leadership/Leadership HR series within 1 year
This position is located at Carle at the Fields in Champaign, IL. The usual schedule is Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, with no on-call requirements or weekend work.
