Job Description

**Exciting Opportunity at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center**

The Proteomics Group at Sloan Kettering Institute is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Assistant to provide state-of-the-art proteomic expertise to support projects across the different programs of SKI.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Design and execute proteomic experiments, including proteome profiling, PTM, protein-protein interaction, chemoproteomics, etc.
  • Develop and optimize LC-MS-based proteomics methods
  • Use, maintain, and troubleshoot high-resolution mass spectrometers and nano LC instruments
  • Apply open-source and vendor-developed software for data analysis
  • Ensure that all research/discovery work is conducted with the highest quality and ethical guidelines
  • Maintain laboratory records and adherence to safety policies
  • Communicate with vendor technical support and sales representatives as necessary
  • Train and supervise technicians

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Biological, Chemistry, or Science related field with at least 6 years of relevant full-time experience or a Master's degree with 3 years full-time relevant experience
  • Expertise in mass spectrometry-based proteomics, including proteome profiling, PTM, protein-protein interaction, chemoproteomics, etc.
  • Work independently as well as with an interdisciplinary team of scientists in a highly collaborative environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

**What We Offer:**

  • Competitive salary range: $66,500.00-$103,100.00
  • Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm
