Position Title: After School Program Facilitator

Department: Extended Learning & Community Schools

Location: Various District Locations

Schedule: Monday - Friday, Part-time hours vary

Compensation: $21.50 per hour

Role Objective:

The After School Program Facilitator is responsible for delivering a diverse range of enrichment and educational programs for middle school students after school hours. This role also involves supporting curriculum development, implementing best practices for out-of-school time, and conducting program evaluations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver educational instruction in designated subject areas.
  • Develop new enrichment programs in accordance with out-of-school time best practices.
  • Align curriculum with state and educational standards.
  • Create and administer pre and post assessments for students.
  • Review and enhance teaching materials as needed.
  • Maintain and ensure the functionality of all computers and software.
  • Collaborate with site staff on student recruitment and retention strategies.
  • Design and implement high-quality lesson plans.
  • Foster a culturally responsive environment that meets the diverse needs of students.
  • Provide operational support for daily program activities.
  • Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all students while effectively managing classroom dynamics.
Licensure and Certification:

CPR certification is required.

Educational Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a four-year degree with a minimum of 460 hours of experience in youth development or education related to the enrichment content area, or possess verifiable expertise in the assigned content area through experience, education, or volunteer work.
Knowledge, Skills, and Other Requirements:
  • Successful completion of a CBI (Colorado) and FBI (Federal) background check.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and reliable individual.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Knowledgeable in specific enrichment content areas.
  • Ability to work at multiple locations as required.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting computer hardware, software, and other digital devices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to research solutions.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
