Position Overview:

Soliant Education is in search of a committed Special Education Teacher to join our dedicated team. This role is focused on providing support to students with mild to moderate disabilities in grades 8 through 12.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored for students with mild to moderate challenges.
  • Develop and modify teaching materials to cater to the varied needs of students.
  • Work collaboratively with general education instructors, parents, and school personnel to foster student success.
  • Track and evaluate student progress, adjusting teaching methods as necessary.
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages learning and personal development.
  • Keep precise records of student achievements and communicate updates to parents and guardians.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Possession of a valid teaching license in Colorado with a Special Education endorsement.
  • Experience in working with students who have mild to moderate disabilities.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
