The On-Site Operations Manager will report to the Distribution Center Manager. Key responsibilities include:

  • Representing AFC's vision, values, and objectives in all job-related activities while maintaining excellent customer relationships.
  • Possessing a comprehensive understanding of AFC products, services, quality standards, and customer specifications.
  • Complying with all AFC and customer safety protocols.
  • Following AFC processes and collaborating with management for any necessary process modifications.
  • Consistently fostering and maintaining positive working relationships with customers and on-site associates, ensuring all opportunities for value-added services are communicated to Program Managers for follow-up.
  • Conducting daily bin maintenance, including Bin Scanning and Bin Replenishment according to customer specifications, in coordination with On-Site Inventory Clerks, if applicable.
  • Proactively addressing daily customer requirements in collaboration with the Contract Administrator, Production Floor Supervisors, and other relevant Functional Area Managers.
  • Participating in Shortage, Planning, and Development Meetings as necessary to provide accurate updates on critical parts to the customer management team.
  • Managing on-site quality assurance issues and forwarding them to the Program Manager or Quality Manager for resolution.
  • Communicating relevant program information (e.g., critical stock outs) to Program Managers promptly.
  • Assisting the Program Manager in determining new bin setups, sizes, and locations.
  • Maintaining a facility layout and documenting any changes related to the racking/bins serviced on-site.
  • Identifying part usage issues and directing them to the Program Manager and direct Manager.
  • Promoting good housekeeping practices within the on-site work environment.
  • Actively seeking and recommending process improvements to Program Managers and your direct Manager to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Accommodating special requirements established by the customer supervisor, including but not limited to work schedule adjustments, required overtime, and working during holidays and weekends as needed.
  • Adhering to all customer site safety and security policies and procedures, as well as local laws and regulations.
  • Attending regularly scheduled customer or company-sponsored meetings and/or training as required.
  • Being capable of lifting 20-70 lbs.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Professional Experience Requirements:

Education:

  • A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.

Work Experience:

3 to 5 years of warehouse experience, certified forklift operator, and a working knowledge of OSHA regulations, along with proficiency in MS Word and Excel.

Professional Skills:

  • A strong work ethic.
  • Experience in team leadership and close communication with management is essential.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment; troubleshoot and take corrective action as needed.
  • Proficiency in Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong oral comprehension.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, read and interpret documents, follow procedures, and document information accurately.
  • Experience with an automated Warehouse Management System.
