Job Summary

This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol, Office of the Chief Engineer, Construction Management Branch, Construction Management Section. The selectee will be responsible for inspecting work on construction projects for compliance with contract specifications. Projects involve structures that are of great historical significance requiring the use of specialized construction methods to accomplish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspections of construction projects to ensure proper quality of work and compliance with contract specifications and requirements.
  • Monitor the execution of new construction, renovations, infrastructure improvements, and/or building upgrade activities.
  • Assist the Contracting Officer and/or Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) with contract administration such as statements of work, performance standards, and evaluation functions.
  • Work with on-site and off-site engineers, architects, contractors, and craft workers on construction or design issues and recommend improvements.
Requirements
  • You must be able to pass a drug test.
  • Your resume and question responses must demonstrate the job-related KSAs.
  • You must meet the definition of specialized experience.
