Job Summary

Bering Straits Native Corporation (BSNC) is seeking a qualified Construction Inspector to join our team in Washington DC. As a Construction Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects are completed in accordance with plans, specifications, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect construction sites to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and industry standards
  • Review and verify contractor submittals and modification documentation
  • Monitor construction contractors' compliance with drawings, specifications, and applicable safety standards
  • Review and analyze construction schedules and progress reports
  • Communicate with contractors, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction
  • Proficient in understanding specifications, drawings, and other contract-related engineering documents
  • Knowledge of engineering concepts, principles, and practices with in-depth experience and knowledge of construction industry standards
  • Ability to work independently with little oversight and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Working Conditions

The job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. Occasional travel may be required.
