Our infrastructure expertise encompasses aviation, highways and bridges, planning and advisory services, ports, rail and transit, tunnels, and water management. If you aspire to contribute to the development and construction of urban environments, our infrastructure team is the right fit for you.

Hatch is currently seeking a Transit Project Manager in our Brooklyn, NY office. Candidates should demonstrate interdisciplinary technical skills and a strong command of project management principles. The ideal candidate will possess the knowledge and capability to deliver quality technical expertise on fleet, facility, and technology integration initiatives.

The successful candidate will be a motivated, results-oriented consulting professional eager to cultivate client relationships and provide technical expertise and value to our partners. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential for effective interaction with external vendors and clients. Candidates must be adept at managing multiple projects concurrently while adhering to deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards. Some travel may be required.

This position reports to the Regional Manager.

Pay Range: $90,000 - $155,000

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible engineering experience.
  • Preferred background in facility design or bus fleet operations.
  • Experience in managing multiple projects, including budget, scope, and timelines.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee multiple project teams assisting clients with fleet procurements, technology integration, or facility design.
  • Identify client needs and develop new service offerings to address them.
  • Support subject matter experts and senior managers with project management and technical assistance.
  • Provide onsite support and oversight of operations at various transit facilities in the New York area.
  • Review contractor submissions and technical drawings.
  • Prepare technical documents and reports for clients and project teams.
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships.
  • Engage in continuous, effective communication and relationship building with clients throughout project development and implementation.
  • Assist in recruiting staff to support project initiatives.
  • Collaborate with subconsultants and contractors to facilitate project success.
