Position Title: Geospatial Asset Management Project Leader

Job Overview:

The MTA, Inc. is in search of a skilled Geospatial Asset Management Project Leader to oversee our Geographic Information Systems (GIS) initiatives. This role is crucial in managing the development, execution, and upkeep of GIS projects that integrate with our asset management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion GIS objectives and celebrate team achievements.
  • Direct and mentor the GIS team, ensuring effective performance management.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and assessment processes for team members.
  • Design and implement GIS projects, maintaining adherence to industry standards.
  • Collaborate with IT to establish and sustain GIS databases and applications for various divisions.
  • Conduct spatial data analysis and produce comprehensive reports to inform strategic decisions.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to assess GIS requirements and provide expert guidance.
  • Stay abreast of emerging GIS technologies and propose innovative solutions.
  • Manage relationships with external data providers and vendors to enhance project outcomes.
  • Ensure the integrity, security, and quality of all GIS-related data and processes.

Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, computer science, engineering, or a related field, complemented by six years of progressively responsible experience, including three years in a supervisory role. Alternatively, a satisfactory combination of education and experience will be considered.

Preferred Skills:

  • Expertise in GIS software (e.g., Esri, ArcGIS Pro) and data visualization tools.
  • Understanding of Asset Management Principles.
  • Familiarity with HxGN EAM software.
  • Proficiency in Python scripting and SQL.
  • Knowledge of GPS technology and cartographic principles.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities for spatial data interpretation.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
