Position Summary

The Automotive Technician role is vital for the effective diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of customer vehicles. This position offers an excellent opportunity to kickstart your career with Monro. From day one, you will engage in a comprehensive training program designed to equip you with the necessary skills for your role. As an Automotive Technician, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our customers receive top-notch service while contributing to a collaborative team environment focused on delivering outstanding customer experiences.

Compensation: Pay is commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct brake, suspension, tire installation, scheduled maintenance, and various automotive repairs and maintenance tasks as qualified.
  • Obtain customer approval for necessary repairs based on thorough diagnostics while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Perform comprehensive inspections on every vehicle serviced and execute required repairs and maintenance.
  • Safely test drive customer vehicles and utilize company vehicles for inventory pickups as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members and provide guidance to General Service Technicians.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience as an automotive technician.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Possession of a basic set of automotive tools or participation in a tool purchase program.
  • Ability to work with hands overhead, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Customer-focused mindset.
  • Must possess and maintain an Automotive Technician State Inspector's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ASE certification in at least one of the A1-A8 categories.
  • Completion of an automotive technical school program or degree.
