At RWE AG, the Portfolio Controlling division plays a crucial role in managing the company's commitments to external investors under various financial agreements.

The Senior Manager, Financial Oversight position collaborates closely with external stakeholders in a consultative capacity, as well as across internal teams to establish expectations and facilitate effective problem resolution.

The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated leadership capabilities, a strong focus on customer service, collaborative communication skills, and a solid understanding of financing agreements within the renewable energy sector.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Review financial obligation deliverables to external partners related to Tax Equity and Joint Venture agreements, including monthly operational reports, cash distribution schedules, tax equity flip models, and annual production reports.

2. Provide guidance on the annual project budgeting process and maintain strong relationships with external financing entities.

3. Prepare materials for and engage in discussions with external financing parties to address project-level operational and financial performance as well as commercial matters.


External Communication:
Ensure timely and professional responses to inquiries from external financing parties.

Collaboration and Teamwork:

Work in partnership with various business units to ensure compliance with financing agreements and support broader strategic and commercial objectives related to external financing parties.

Mentor and develop junior team members.

Update valuations for proposed tax equity buyouts.


Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Tax, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience is strongly preferred.

2. A minimum of 8 years of professional experience, ideally within the renewable energy sector.

3. Familiarity with Tax Equity Financing, Financial Modeling, and Valuations is advantageous.

4. Demonstrated ownership of work responsibilities and the ability to seek guidance when necessary.

5. Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

6. Excellent interpersonal abilities, energetic, and self-motivated.

7. Proactive in addressing challenges.

8. Strong business acumen and a comprehensive understanding of business principles.

9. High attention to detail.

10. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams.

11. A clear passion and motivation for working in the renewable energy field.
