About The George...

The George is an upscale boutique hotel featuring 56 rooms, situated in a prime location that promises guests an extraordinary dining and lodging experience. The property is designed to cater to both visitors and locals, offering a unique waterfront ambiance in a historic coastal town. In addition to luxurious accommodations, the hotel will house a full-service dining establishment and bar, alongside versatile event spaces and recreational areas for relaxation and entertainment. The George also provides direct access to marina facilities, allowing guests to enjoy various water activities and excursions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional and attentive service to all guests.
  • Handle sensitive information, including guest records, with utmost confidentiality.
  • Adhere to established credit card and key control protocols.
  • Collect and verify essential guest information, ensuring accuracy for check-in/check-out processes.
  • Be knowledgeable about hotel emergency protocols.
  • Maintain accurate financial records of cash and credit transactions.
  • Safeguard guest privacy, ensuring confidentiality of personal data.
  • Facilitate check-ins, check-outs, and room assignments, assisting with luggage as needed.
  • Protect company proprietary information and assets.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using all office equipment and property management systems.
  • Comply with all safety and security policies, reporting any incidents promptly.
  • Participate in required training sessions and meetings.
  • Exhibit proactivity, creativity in problem-solving, sound judgment, attention to detail, and a commitment to exceeding guest expectations.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel is preferred.
Additional Duties:
  • Commit to maintaining personal, staff, and guest safety, reporting incidents in a timely manner.
  • Engage in team activities and meetings.
  • Work hours: 30 to 40 hours over a five-day period; flexibility required based on hotel needs, including weekends.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications for Success:
  • One or more years of experience in a similar role or equivalent preferred.
  • Additional education, training, or certification is a plus.
  • A positive, friendly, and enthusiastic demeanor with a strong background in hotel management.
  • Effective communication skills with colleagues, management, and guests.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, particularly in emergency situations.
  • Availability to work various shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods, with occasional lifting and reaching.
