Position Overview:
As a Senior Security Engineer specializing in Microsoft O365 and Azure, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy to execute critical information security responsibilities that ensure our systems and applications adhere to established quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and respond to security events, focusing on Windows OS, Microsoft O365, and Azure security.
  • Engage in hands-on monitoring, analysis, and investigation of security incidents within O365 and Azure environments.
Essential Functions:
  • Utilize established and custom methodologies to identify, assess, prioritize, and manage security risks.
  • Detect unmanaged risks and propose enhancements to security controls.
  • Proactively identify gaps in security requirements.
  • Design and implement security control frameworks to meet compliance needs.
  • Monitor and maintain the effectiveness of security controls.
  • Identify and rectify control weaknesses, ensuring operational integrity.
  • Review and prioritize security control outputs, taking necessary actions to resolve discrepancies.
  • Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and methodologies.
  • Develop, review, and advocate for information security policies and procedures.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at improving internal processes.
  • Provide constructive feedback on existing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with technology policies and security controls.
  • Possess a solid understanding of network fundamentals and common Internet protocols.
  • Demonstrate technical expertise in permissions, roles, and security configurations within O365 and Azure.
  • Exhibit knowledge of Windows OS security, including both desktop and server environments.
  • Show proficiency in scripting and coding with PowerShell.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Monitor system logs and utilize SIEM tools for complex query building.
  • Demonstrate strong investigative and analytical skills.
  • Possess relevant technical security certifications, such as Security+, Ethical Hacking, or GIAC Security.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, along with a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in securing networks and systems architecture, secure software assurance, and incident response.
  • In-depth knowledge of various communication protocols.
  • Familiarity with multiple cybersecurity tools, including configuration assessment and endpoint security solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to foster effective working relationships that enhance the quality of deliverables.
  • Organizational skills to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Capability to quickly learn and adapt to new skills in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in a fast-paced work setting.
  • Comprehensive understanding of multiple information security principles.
Work Environment:
  • Willingness to travel occasionally and work extended hours as needed.
