The Consortium is seeking a Lead Cybersecurity Analyst. This role is pivotal in overseeing various analytical functions, including the identification and classification of anomalies, strategic direction related to infrastructure, and support in risk management strategies.

This position will also encompass analytical assistance and statistical insights for both standardized and custom reports.



Key Responsibilities:


Evaluate alerts generated from insider threats, data loss incidents, and User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA) systems to ascertain the legitimacy of the risks.

Conduct ad-hoc investigations utilizing Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) tools (such as Splunk), UEBA, User Activity Monitoring (UAM), and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions to uncover further insider threat concerns.

Compile reports detailing insider threats and/or data loss occurrences and present findings to senior management. Offer constructive feedback and recommendations for enhancing the analysis and rules applied in user behavior assessments.



  • Detects deficiencies in information insights that could aid in identifying and evaluating insider threats.
  • Assists in acquiring log data and other contextual information for insider threat detection and evaluations.
  • Receives alerts from key organizational stakeholders regarding unusual activities (both informational systems and behavioral).
  • Facilitates insider threat prevention efforts, including supporting security education, awareness, and training initiatives.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Execute other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of one (1) year of professional experience with a Bachelor's degree in computer science or at least three (3) years of relevant experience, which includes:
  • Proficiency in utilizing DLP tools.
  • Experience with UEBA tools.
  • Familiarity with SIEM and/or logging tools, with the capability to perform intricate ad-hoc queries.
  • Must exhibit proactivity and the ability to work independently and efficiently, while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new tools and methodologies.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in a technical context.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with insider threats is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Splunk Programming Language (SPL) to support queries is a plus.
  • Familiarity with PowerBI is beneficial.
