Position Overview:
As a Senior Security Engineer, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy, executing information security responsibilities that align with your expertise to ensure that applications and projects adhere to established quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take charge of security for Windows OS, Microsoft O365, and Azure environments.
  • Analyze security incidents and events effectively.
  • Engage in hands-on monitoring, analysis, and investigation within Microsoft O365 and Azure, including the creation of new alerts.
Essential Functions:
  • Utilize both established and innovative methodologies to identify, validate, prioritize, and monitor security vulnerabilities.
  • Recognize unmanaged risks and propose enhancements to controls.
  • Proactively address deficiencies in security requirements.
  • Design and architect security control systems to meet specific needs.
  • Oversee and assess the effectiveness of established security measures.
  • Identify weaknesses in controls and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Ensure operational integrity of controls and resolve discrepancies.
  • Review and prioritize outputs from security controls.
  • Act decisively to rectify security inconsistencies.
  • Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and tools.
  • Define and promote information security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at internal process enhancements.
  • Provide constructive feedback on existing processes.
  • Support compliance with technology policies and security controls.
  • Possess a solid understanding of network fundamentals and common Internet protocols.
  • Demonstrate technical knowledge of permissions, roles, and security configurations within O365 and Azure.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of Windows OS security, including desktop and server versions.
  • Exhibit proficiency in scripting and coding with PowerShell.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Monitor system logs and utilize SIEM tools for complex query development.
  • Display strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Possess relevant technical security certifications such as Security+, Ethical Hacking, or GIAC Security.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, with a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in securing networks and systems architecture, secure software assurance, intrusion detection, and incident response.
  • In-depth knowledge of various communication protocols.
  • Familiarity with multiple Cyber Security tools, including configuration assessment and endpoint security solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to cultivate effective working relationships to enhance work quality.
  • Well-organized, thorough, and capable of managing competing priorities.
  • Ability to rapidly acquire new skills and maintain focus in a dynamic environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of multiple Information Security principles.
Work Environment:
  • May require occasional travel and extended hours.
