Housing Placement Coordinator

About the Position:

The Housing Placement Coordinator will perform a range of services to assist individuals in obtaining and maintaining permanent housing. This includes coordinating billing aspects of rental payments and housing assistance services to ensure seamless payments to property owners.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing rental payment budgets in accordance with monthly subsidy payments
  • Developing a rental payment tracking system specific to project rent guidelines
  • Assessing housing and gathering participant information
  • Collaborating with case managers for case follow-up regarding non-payment of rents
  • Maintaining and updating information in participant files
  • Entering participant information into data systems
  • Delivering monthly rental payments to landlords and property owners
  • Advocating to landlords regarding rental unit availability
  • Assisting with acquiring furniture and appliances

Requirements:

  • High school diploma and a minimum of 3 years in office administration
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, administrative writing skills, professionalism, and analyzing information
  • Ability to understand and follow procedures
  • Self-motivated team player with strong communication skills

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in behavioral health or social science and one year of experience providing outreach, substance abuse counseling, reentry services, or case management
  • Knowledge of local housing market and community resources
  • Ability to integrate and align housing opportunities with participant interest and proximity to job and essential community resources
