Job Summary

The Senior Budget Analyst is responsible for steering the budget formulation process, which encompasses budget preparation, revenue forecasting, and the development of comprehensive business plans. This role also involves identifying training needs related to budgetary processes and facilitating training sessions for departmental and budget managers.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties:
1. Formulates the annual budget, including budget workbooks and revenue allocations.
2. Conducts analysis of budgetary data to identify discrepancies.
3. Compiles in-depth financial analysis and budget reports as needed.
4. Updates position salary information and manages data transactions within the financial module.
5. Generates analytical reports to track financial performance against budgets.
6. Supervises budget office personnel and coordinates their responsibilities.
7. Prepares and reviews multi-year business plans and fee submissions for regulatory bodies.
8. Analyzes and recommends adjustments to fee structures in compliance with policies.
9. Reviews budgets for revenue-generating departments.
10. Organizes and conducts training for budget and business managers.
11. Investigates and resolves budget-related inquiries.

Required Qualifications

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

Experience:
A minimum of seven years of relevant professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Education:
An advanced degree in Business, Finance, Public Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution.

Proposed Salary

The anticipated salary range is $66,760 to $72,000, contingent upon relevant experience.

Abilities:
Capable of training both novice and experienced managers in financial processes.
Skilled in managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Knowledge:
Comprehensive understanding of budget development and financial management practices.
Familiarity with advanced budgeting principles.

Skills:
Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficient in relevant software applications, including Microsoft Office and financial management systems.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to customer service.
